Nathan Bock

Specialist Accommodation Broker, Central Gold Coast
"My philosophy is simple: create strong, trusting relationships with my customers, and look for the win that benefits all involved."

Success in sales, property management and elite sport paved the way for Nathan Bock to join ResortBrokers in 2025.

Nathan joined our Gold Coast management rights team after five successful years with renowned label William Grant & Sons Ltd, the world’s third largest maker of Scotch whisky. Nathan was key account manager for the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers, looking after existing customers and promoting the brand to new ones.

“It was certainly a challenge selling scotch in an area with a strong beer culture, but I made up for it in other areas,” says Nathan. “We also had products like Sailor Jerry, Hendrick’s and a few others that were easier to sell. With sales, you always have to find a way.”

Nathan’s sales territory took him from the Gold Coast, which he has called home for over a decade, as far south as Lennox Head.

“My philosophy is simple: create strong, trusting relationships with my customers, and look for the ‘win’ that benefits all involved,” says the 41-year-old.

For three years prior to William Grant, Nathan managed multiple properties on the Gold Coast. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of property management for several apartment complexes, mainly in Burleigh Heads and Mermaid Beach, where he now lives. A Certificate in Property Investment and Diploma in Business further extended Nathan’s expertise in commercial property.

AFL brought Nathan to the Gold Coast in 2010. Born in Adelaide, he was drafted as a rookie by the Adelaide Football Club (aka the Crows) in 2002, debuting for the club in 2004. Over the next seven years, he became a stalwart for the club, playing more than 100 games and winning the 2008 Malcolm Blight Medal, which is awarded to the club’s best and fairest player.

Eager to expand his horizons and challenge himself, Nathan joined the Gold Coast Suns for the fledgling club’s inaugural season in 2011. He played three seasons for the club before a broken leg ended his playing career. Nathan turned injury into opportunity by taking on a senior coaching role for Southport Sharks Football Club.

“I try to draw on all my experience to deliver the best possible commercial results for my clients,” says Nathan.

“My sales and property management background has given me the ability to identify my clients’ needs, build relationships and implement tailored solutions, while my time playing professional sport has given me a competitive edge, an appreciation of the importance of teamwork and the ability to think strategically in fast-moving situations. In the end, it’s about using all I have to get the win for my clients.”
