After record year, ResortBrokers expands with largest ever intake of new brokers

National accommodation property agency ResortBrokers is expanding this financial quarter by taking on five new brokers to serve its regional markets across the country.

In calendar year 2024, the agency posted its best results in its 40-year history, representing a 30% increase on 2023.

The agency’s growth prompted the recruitment drive which saw five new brokers brought on this week and a sixth, Leah Bursztynowicz, join in late 2024 to represent ResortBrokers in Far North Queensland. This week’s intake is the agency’s largest in its history.

The five new brokers join ResortBrokers’ national network of more than 30 brokers, active in every state and territory.

Established by Ian Crooks in 1985, ResortBrokers was the first commercial property agency to focus exclusively on sales of tourism and accommodation-related businesses such as hotels and resorts, motels, caravan parks, management rights and serviced apartments.

In October 2025, ResortBrokers will celebrate its 40th anniversary and remains a family business led by Ian Crooks’ three children who are directors of the agency.

“ResortBrokers’ latest intake of brokers, our largest ever, shows our confidence in the accommodation property sector remains as strong as ever,” says Managing Director Trudy Crooks.

“As we’ve done before in times of growth, we’ve reinvested back into our business. Bringing on more brokers means we can deliver more local specialists for our clients across the country. We plan to bring more brokers online in other regional locations as we continue to expand.”

ResortBrokers’ new brokers are Tania Johnston (Fraser Coast, Bundaberg & North Burnett Region), Lleyton McArthur (Central Queensland & Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday), Tristan Mears (Northwest VIC & Southwest NSW), Nathan Bock (Central Gold Coast) and Debbie Cooper (Northeast VIC & Southeast NSW).
