ResortBrokers lists Glenbosch Wine Estate for sale

ResortBrokers’ agents Chris Boschetti and Jacqueline Featherby have listed boutique vineyard and accommodation business Glenbosch Wine Estate.

The freehold going concern is being offered to market for $5.5 million.

Located three hours’ drive northeast of Melbourne in the Beechworth Wine Region, the 264-hectare Glenbosch Wine Estate consists of a vineyard, four farm stay cottages, restaurant, gin distillery and surplus land.

The vendor, the Bester family, has capitalised on Glenbosch’s country charm and accommodation plus F&B combination to turn the estate into a popular wedding venue that can host up to 120 guests.

“High class wineries are increasingly coming onto the radars of investors, both locally and overseas,” said Chris Boschetti. “A low Australian dollar makes these kinds of boutique assets especially attractive to international buyers.”

“Glenbosch is both a trophy asset and profitable business. It offers multiple income streams for an adjusted annual net profit of over $363,900 for FY24. The vineyard, distillery, cellar door, restaurant and short-stay cottages make this a very attractive package.”

“The Bester family have had a great run and are ready to move on, which opens the door for a new owner to make Glenbosch their own,” said Jacqueline Featherby.

“The vineyard has the potential to triple in size from just over five hectares to 15 hectares, more accommodation could be added, and the event space extended to allow more capacity.”

Long famous with Victorians, the Beechworth Wine Region is starting to enjoy wider popularity. This year, hotel booking website Wotif placed Beechworth among the top five in its Town of the Year Awards — the only Victorian town in that group.

“Glenbosch is an incredible opportunity to buy into this popular wine region that is increasingly coming into the frame of a wider audience beyond Victoria,” said Chris Boschetti. END
