ResortBrokers settles two Quest Apartment Hotels deals in WA

ResortBrokers Western Australia Broker Blair Macdonald has settled the franchise sales of Quest Rockingham and Quest Innaloo.

The 94-key Quest Rockingham franchise was purchased by existing Quest franchisee Michael Chidlow and Sam Ballard, a franchise operations support manager at Quest Corporate Office. Michael Chidlow owns the franchise of the 90-key Quest Joondalup, which he purchased through Mr Macdonald in May 2023.

“We received enormous interest in Quest Rockingham,” says Mr Macdonald. “The hotel is the only 4.5-star serviced apartment accommodation in Rockingham, a region experiencing enormous economic growth. Since March 2022, the hotel has enjoyed recurring monthly occupancies above 90% driven by the Defence sector centred around HMAS Stirling naval base.”

“The vendor is handing over a business in excellent shape. I’m delighted Michael and Sam will bring their great experience at Quest to Quest Rockingham. Having Quest businesses north and south of Perth provides great coverage of the corporate guest market in the city’s economically vibrant outlying regions.”

The 80-key Quest Innaloo was sold to David Thompson, a first-time accommodation business buyer with an F&B franchising background.

“David has solid franchising experience and recognises the unique strength of the Quest Apartment Hotels brand, undoubtedly one of the best franchise brands in the country,” says Mr Macdonald.

“The Quest Innaloo franchise also received multiple offers and had significant overall buyer interest, which speaks to the strength of the Quest brand and franchise model.”

ResortBrokers has been Quest Apartment Hotels preferred agent for over a decade.
