ResortBrokers settles its largest ever sale of a Quest business in Victoria with Quest Ballarat Station

ResortBrokers’ West Victoria agent Hugh Thomas has settled the sale of Quest Ballarat Station.

Opened in 2020, the 77-apartment hotel is situated within the Ballarat Station Precinct, a major state government-backed project to deliver a vibrant community transport and commercial hub for Victoria’s third largest city.

The sale is ResortBrokers’ largest ever for a Quest business in Victoria and among its largest Quest sales nationwide.

“We received over 30 buyer enquiries from all over the country, and had Quest Ballarat Station under offer within three weeks,” Mr Thomas told The Hotel Conversation.

“This speaks to the first-rate business our client built throughout his years of operation as well as the strength of Quest’s reputation as a top-quality franchise, arguably the best in the accommodation sector.”

“Demand for Quest businesses is the highest ResortBrokers has seen in our more than 10 years as Quest Apartment Hotels’ preferred supplier.”

“Quest Ballarat Station offered an incredible opportunity to operate one of only two Quest hotels in Ballarat,” says Mr Thomas.

“The city is currently undergoing a major rejuvenation that Quest Ballarat Station stands to benefit from in terms of increased corporate and leisure occupancy.”

“Quest Ballarat Station is located next door to The Goods Shed, Ballarat’s brand-new premier conference centre. Demand from events at The Goods Shed is a core demand generator for Quest Ballarat Station.”

ResortBrokers represented vendor Brendan Du Kamp, an experienced Quest owner who currently operates Quest Echuca.

Quest Ballarat Station was purchased by Amber Khanna, a first-time buyer to both the accommodation industry and Quest network.

Mr Khanna, who has a business and construction background, reviewed opportunities for six months before deciding on Quest Ballarat Station.

“Even before I got the keys, the training and support from Quest Corporate Office was incredible,” says Mr Khanna.

“I feel there’s a really great network around me. It’s great to be working under such a terrific brand with such strong systems and processes.” END
