A passion for real estate, banking and finance expertise and an exemplary customer-service ethic are distinguishing characteristics of ResortBrokers’ Central Queensland agent Tania Johnston.

Tania joined ResortBrokers after a varied 25-year career that included a decade in residential real estate, another decade in retail banking, and growing regional markets as a business development manager.

“I appreciate the enormous growth potential of our regions,” says Tania. “The smart money is investing in regional assets where prices are lower and yields are better.”

Immediately before joining ResortBrokers, Tania was a senior business development manager for Karndean Design Flooring, the global flooring business established in the UK in 1973. Tania grew Karndean’s business in regional Australia by more than $1 million in her first 18 months.

Tania’s professional career started in banking. She has a decade’s worth of banking experience, first with Bank of New South Wales (now Westpac), then six years with Bank of Melbourne where she was the bank’s youngest ever female branch manager. Her last three years at Bank of Melbourne was in lending. A Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking rounds out Tania’s finance expertise.

In real estate, Tania has a total of 10 years’ sales experience across a 17-year period. She started with Barry Plant Real Estate in Melbourne (2000–2001), then Harcourts and RealWay on the Sunshine Coast (2004–2007) and finally Nelson Alexander Real Estate (2014–2017). She’s also worked as a property stylist for prominent real estate agents to prepare properties prior to going to market.

Says Tania, “Working across various industries, including real estate, banking, hospitality, travel and flooring, as well as being a small business owner myself, has helped me find innovative strategies and solutions for my clients.”

Based in Bargara, the seaside town outside Bundaberg, Tania’s zone goes south to Hervey Bay and north to Tannum Sands near Gladstone.

“I love being on the road meeting clients,” she says. “I have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for all my clients. I’m committed to providing them with exceptional service and want to ensure both buyer and seller are extremely happy with the final outcome. Buyers are your future vendors. So, it’s important to build and maintain these relationships over time.”
